Bologna is worldwide known for its ancient University, and, above all, for its cuisine, which has given us tasteful dishes such as tagliatelle, lasagne, tortellini and the famous “Ragu’ alla Bolognese”.
For a time buried in the past, the best companion to these specialities have been wines made from vines grown on Bologna's hills, such as the red Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot e Barbera and the white Sauvignon, Riesling italico, Pinot bianco, Chardonnay and, the last but absolutely not the least, the Pignoletto, vine grown only on these lands since the most ancient times.
I DUE AIRONI, a winery producing about 100,000 bottles per year, is settled in Castello di Serravalle (city of wines) on the hillside of Bologna.
Our wines are made only from our own grapes, which are grown by integrated struggle techniques, using no chemical herbicides and collected by hand, coupling ancient tradition and new technologies to assure quality, old taste and hygiene
